A friend in need is a friend indeed

As usual, I was waking up to 12pm blazing sun today. Body almost gone dehydrated after long hours of not taking water. Breakfast is the only meal that I could never be able to grab, left my stomach to fill up only by brunch, tea, dinner and supper. Should I know unhealthy it is and yet the habit is remains still.

Slowly open my half-sleep eyes as if I haven’t got sufficient sleep but in fact, more than 8 hours of sleeping I have got. What concerns me the most is the advanced rectangular-shape gadget that has internet connection which make online news can be get easily and conveniencely.

My head is spinning dizzily due to late wake, yet still able to walk in half-conscious way to get my phone, then stumble my way back to the bed again!

Turn on the wifi and wait for it to search for the internet connection. While waiting, I closed my eyes to rest, as if to continue with the unfinished dream. When the notification of mail beep, I know the internet has connected.

Checking email is an unemployed people used to do stuff before I change my pyjamas and get my teeth brushed. Hoping that job opportunity knocks or get a joyful reply from employer that I have sent resume to. But, luck has not found me yet.

Few minutes later when I still checked my mails, notifications from other social media application started to ring its way to alert me. I saw a notification from LINE that pop up on the top of the screen. Then I noticed a friend of mine has sent me a message. Immediately, I click onto it so the application could open automatically and enable me to read the message sent.

I never expect that a friend whom I’m not too close to has done me a big favor. The message read as below:

“KenKen, I have pass ur contact to a career consultant which is one of my very close friend. I think she can help you to get a job that suitable for you. So don’t be surprise if she contact you. She is a very nice person, patient and properly can help you to get a job that you like and suit you”

What would you feel after you been searching for job in almost two months time but couldn’t get one and today you wake up, find out this message? I am totally touched! My gratitude to her is beyond the words to say.

At times, I might not be lucky however I am so glad that I always surrounded by helpful friends who are there to offer me helps. For an instance, I get another lending hand from another friend who has given me an opportunity to meet her company's GM. I felt grateful to her too!

To them, it might be just as easy as lifting one’s hand, but to me they have done me a kind act.

A sincere help warms people heart. Helping a friend could be just as easy as abc, and it wins you not only friend but trust.

p/s: I wanna be a helpful person
